| The Crossdraw Saloon Story |
Johnny was originally going to go into business with some influential friends from Sweeden, but the only building available in Chawang was a high-rent Beach Resort area, and before they could make their move, a large restaurant company came in and signed a lease.
This left Johnny on his own in a Third-World country with a small amount of money in his pocket. Not to be detered by the recent string of bad luck, Johnny began seeking out his own location. Johnny decided on a "fixer-upper" located in Lamui Beach, in a neighboring beach town next to Chawang.
With limited funds, and limited knowledge of the Thai language, Johnny assembled a construction team. The language barrier was one of the hardest obstacles to overcome during demoliton and pre-planning stage.
For reference material, Johnny used "old western town" photos and movie set photographs from his collection. The visuals helped to relay the entire "concept" and theme of the Crossdraw Saloon to the workers.
Johnny was soon becoming a favorite character in the neighborhood, and the local business community rallied behind his cause. Upon completion, the entire town showed up for the grand opening. Johnny has created the local "Hot Spot" for the community, and for tourists visiting from afar.
The Crossdraw Saloon is based upon the events and acheivements that Johnny Brusco has accumulated over the span of his interesting life. 1 Part Stuntman, 1 Part Actor, and 1 Part official Western Gun-Slinger. Johnny was born in the desert in Arizona, and has travelled the world with his highly-skilled marksmanship, and gun-toting wizardry. This of course led to an acting career, stuntman gig, and professional shoot-out style tournaments showcasing gunmanship, and gun-craft marksmanship. |
